GLASSBORO, NJ – A first half goal from
Sarah Bergan and a defense that put up its seventh shutout of the season helped the Rowan women's soccer team to a 1-0 win over Kean in a New Jersey Athletic Conference contest on Saturday morning as the team celebrated Senior Day.
Bergan netted her second tally of the year in the 37th minute.
Kelsi Stangl drew the assist on the goal, her third this season.
The defense limited the Cougars to just one shot on the day, as the backline and goalie
Bristol Pizzuto claimed a clean sheet for the seventh time in 2021.
Prior to the contest, the team and coaching staff honored the team's eight seniors and graduating players in a pre-game moment. Pizzuto, Stangl,

Jessica Logan,
Arianna Durling, and
Kalin Priest along with their families.
The win keeps the Profs in second place in the NJAC standings, just ahead of Montclair State by one point.
Next up for Rowan is a matchup against Maine-Fort Kent on Monday in a non-conference tilt starting at 5 p.m.
