MEET RESULTS
LOGAN TOWNSHIP, NJ -- #33 Rowan men's cross country held their first 'home' meet of the season in Saturday's Border Battle held at DREAM Park in Logan Township.
The squad competed in two of the men's races and turned in some top 25 performances.
In the championship race, the Profs placed four runners in the top 100 with
Kevin Lauer in 50th place in a time of 29:26.2.
Brandon Jarrett was not too far behind in 56th (26:38.5).
Dario Epifania was 68th (26:57.1) and
Noah Cziryak was 70th (26:57.9).
Jeff Stewart finished in 125th (27:52.9),
Jacob Riley 130th (27:56.1),
Connor McBride 178th (28:46.8), and
Brandon Diaz 214th (29:29.2) respectively.
Frank Csorba of Lynchburg was the overall winner, clocking in at 24:42.7. The Hornets (90 points) were runners-up to champion SUNY-Geneseo (39 points).
The open race featured 14 Profs in action as the squad finished third.
Michael Henry timed in at 27:30.8 to place fifth overall.
Giancarlo Vega was 13th (28:03.2),
Peter Argerakis was 18th (28:14.2),
Tyler Greene was 19th (28:17.2), and
Korey Greene was 25th (28:31.3) for a total of 64 points.
Matthew Conway took 29th (28:37.1), with
Caleb Clevenger in 33rd (28:43.7),
Kush Patel in 37th (28:52.5),
Cameron DiTroia in 47th (29:08.5),
Sean Smithson in 49th (29:11.9),
Cole Kolodziej in 56th (29:26.3),
Nick Simila in 57th (29:28.7),
Sean Eisenhower in 96th (30:34.5), and
Miguel Vera in 177th (35:50.1) to round out the lineup.
Johns Hopkins' Charlie Teeter claimed first place in the open race (26:30.4) while Lynchburg totaled 51 points to edge out Haveford by six points to win the team title.
The team will compete at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship held at Stockton University on Saturday, October 30th.
