With the Profs trailing 30-27 in the fourth quarter, quarterback Dante Pinckney found wide receiver Zac Frantz from 13 yards out to give Rowan the 34-30 lead. Rowan rallied to stun eighth-ranked Wesley in the 2018 Homecoming contest, 28-27, marking its first win over the NJAC foe in five years. The teams were tied 14-14 in the second quarter, but Wesley took a 27-14 lead in the third quarter. The Profs fought back as John Mannion scored on a 77-yard run and then the defense took over, forcing back-to-back Wesley turnovers. The interception by Nate Lanier gave Rowan the ball at the visitors' 11-yard line and two plays later, Mannion scored from four yards out for his third touchdown of the game and the eventual gamewinner. The Profs' defense stopped Wesley three times in the fourth quarter and on the Wolverines' last drive, Sunny Tapp and David Gajderowicz each had a sack to save the win.Â
