PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Rowan University men's cross country team won the Philadelphia Metro Championships. The race was held at Belmont Plateau.
The Profs finished with 20 points among 13 schools.
Kevin Lauer (so. Mount Laurel, NJ/Lenape Valley Reg.) ran 27:33.8 over the 8K course to capture the individual title.
Jake Caruso (sr. Berlin, NJ/Eastern Reg.) followed in second place with a time of 27:41.4.
Jeff Stewart (so. Jackson, NJ/Jackson Mem.) came in fifth (27:54.1) while
Dylan Tyrrell (sr. Ocean, NJ/St. Joseph's (Metuchen)) and
Michael Onu (jr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) were seventh (28:01.4) and eighth (28:04.4) respectively.
Kush Patel (so. Edison, NJ/J.P. Stevens) was the Profs' fifth runner to score. He took 10
th (28:24.0) and
Brandon Diaz (fr. Kendall Park, NJ/South Brunswick) was 11
th (28:30.3). Rowan claimed 14
th through 17
th.
Dario Epifania (fr. Kendall Park, NJ/South Brunswick) had a 14
thplace and
Austin Milou (fr. Sewell, NJ/Washington) was 15
th (28:45.7).
Brandon Jarrett (fr. Woodbridge, NJ/Woodbridge) finished 16
th (28:53.1) followed by
Gideon Achirem (sr. Maywood, NJ/Hackensack), 17
th (28:59.6).
