Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ASTON, PA.  –  The Rowan University volleyball team was extended to five sets in two matches today at the Neumann University Tri-Match, but the Profs fell to Neumann and to Lebanon Valley College, both by 3-2 scores.
 
Against Neumann, the Profs dropped the first set, 25-10, but fought back to score victories in the second and third sets by tallies of 25-13 and 25-17. Neumann grabbed the fourth set, 25-18, and went on to win the match with a 15-8 win in the final set.
 
Kailey Gallagher had 14 kills and five block assists for Rowan while Tori Mock added 31 assists. Lauren Horbacewicz posted six block assists and Natalie Ogden had 24 digs.
 
It was a similar story in the second match against Lebanon Valley, where the Profs trailed 2-0 after two close sets, 25-23 and 25-22. Rowan rallied to win the next two, 25-22 and 25-13, but LVC closed out the victory with a 15-12 win in the fifth set.
 
Gallagher again topped the Profs with 18 kills followed by Ogden with 15 and a team-high 19 digs. Megan Jacobi had 13 kills in 26 attempts without an error for a match-best .500 hitting percentage while Mock dished out 53 assists.
 
The Profs (9-9; 2-1 NJAC) continue their stretch of five matches in seven days when they host Montclair State in a conference match on Tuesday, October 1, at Esby Gym, beginning at 7 p.m.
