SWARTHMORE, PA – The Rowan University women's outdoor track & field team competed at the Swarthmore College Final Qualifier Meet on Monday.
Kierston Johnson (fr. Mays Landing, NJ/Oakcrest) won the 100 meter dash with a season best time of 12.40.
In the 400 meter hurdles,
Dani Nicklas (jr. Bellmawr, NJ/Audubon) took fifth in 1:05.68.
Chelsea Smith (fr. Gibbstown, NJ/Paulsboro) finished fifth in the hammer throw, recording a distance of 126' 0" (38.41 m).
Makayla Taylor (fr. Randolph, NJ/Randolph) earned sixth in the shot put, tossing 38' 3.25" (11.66 m).
Olivia Scattergood (so. Kendall Park, NJ/South Brunswick) followed 13th (31' 3.75", 9.54 m) and
Jocelyn Reuben (fr. Burlington, NJ/Burlington Twp.) was 14th (29' 8.25", 9.05 m).
Scattergood also took 10th in the discus, throwing 116' 8" (35.57 m). Taylor and Reuben finished 11th (115' 6", 35.21 m) and 14th (102' 11", 31.38 m) respectively.

Sicklerville, NJ/Timber Creek Reg.) claimed sixth in the 400 meters with a time of 58.16 and
Melina Johnson (jr. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.) crossed the line in 1:01.33.
Leilanie Hinton (fr. Paterson, NJ/Passaic County Tech.) placed eighth in the 100 meter hurdles in 16.11.
The women's track & field team heads to SUNY Cortland for the All-Atlantic Track & Field Conference Championships on Wednesday-Thursday, May 15-16, with the first day starting at noon and the second beginning at 10 a.m.
