EWING, NJ – The Rowan University women's outdoor track & field team traveled to The College of New Jersey for the Lions' Invitational on Saturday.
In the discus throw,
Makayla Taylor (fr. Randolph, NJ/Randolph) took sixth with a toss of 117' 3" (35.74 m).
Chelsea Smith (fr. Gibbstown, NJ/Paulsboro) followed 13th (110' 2", 33. 59m) and
Olivia Scattergood (so. Kendall Park, NJ/South Brunswick) was 18th (105' 1", 32.04 m). Taylor also competed in the shot put and finished ninth with a mark of 39' 4.50" (12.00 m).
Scattergood placed sixth in the hammer throw with a distance of 136' 3" (41.52 m).
Carrie Wunder (jr. Cape May, NJ/Lower Cape May Reg.) was next in ninth (131' 1", 39.96 m) and Smith was 10th (126' 0", 38.42 m).
The women's outdoor track & field team heads to Stockton University for the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday-Sunday, May 4-5.
