BOSTON, MA – The Rowan University men's and women's indoor track & field team competed on the final day of the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at Boston University on Saturday.
The day opened with the women's distance medley relay running a team's season-best time of 12:17.01. The relay members were Dianne Ferraro (so. South Plainfield, NJ/South Plainfield), Myiah Sturdivant (so. Sicklerville, NJ/Timber Creek Reg.), Claire Incantalupo (sr. Sparta, NJ/Sparta) and Hannah Vendetta (so. Pitman, NJ/Pitman).
Josh Munoz (fr. Closter, NJ/Northern Valley Reg. at Demarest) ran a season-top time in the 800 meters of 1:56.70.
Jeff Stewart (fr. Jackson, NJ/Jackson Mem.) and
Kevin Lauer (fr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Lenape) each ran a season-best time in the mile run. Stewart crossed the finish line in 4:20.53 and Lauer recorded a time of 4:25.31.
Matt Russo (jr. Westfield, NJ/Westfield) and Daniel "Fitch" Henry (sr. Sewell, NJ/Clearview Reg.) ended the day running in the 3000 meters. Russo finished in 8:40.11, followed by Henry (8:42.03).
The men's and women's indoor track & field teams head to the Ocean Breeze Track Center in Staten Island, NY for the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships on Monday, Feb. 18 starting at 4 p.m.
