STATEN ISLAND, NY – The Rowan University men's indoor track & field team participated in the Fastrack National Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Track Center on Friday.
Vincent Delle (so. Williamstown, NJ/Old Bridge) finished third in the 400 meters with a season-best time of 49.94, while
Chris Mesiano (sr. Pittsgrove, NJ/A.P. Schalick) placed sixth (50.23).
Spencer Jarrett (fr. Salem, NJ/Salem) took third in the 200 meters, crossing the finish line in 22.31.
Dylan Tyrrell (jr. Ocean, NJ/St. Joseph's Metuchen) earned sixth in the mile run with a time of 4:21.44. Both were season-best times.
The team consisting of
Peter Argerakis (fr. Holtsville, NY/Sachem E.),
Jake Caruso (fr. Berlin, NJ/Eastern Reg.),
Nick Simila (fr. Wenonah, NJ/St. Augustine Prep) and Jarrett placed third in the distance medley relay in 10:57.65.
John Owens (fr. Newnan, GA/West Windsor-Plainsboro N. (NJ)) finished 11th in the long jump, leaping 22' 3.50" (6.79 m) and
Frankie Richard (so. Allendale, NJ/Northern Highlands Reg.) took 12th with a season-best distance of 22' 2.25" (6.76 m).
Airrion Scott (fr. Trenton, NJ/Ewing) earned 12th in the high jump, clearing 6' 2.25" (1.89 m).
The indoor men's track & field will compete in the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at Boston University on Saturday, Feb. 9, starting at 10:30 a.m.
