GALLOWAY, NJ – The Rowan University women's soccer team had a 2-0 conference loss at Stockton University.
Midfielder Madison Dorney scored the first goal in the 62
ndminute after a corner kick. She headed the ball into the lower left corner of the net and midfielder Susan Porambo had the assist. Back Dasey DiElmo produced the second with just under five minutes remaining in the contest.
The Ospreys are 9-1-1 overall and 2-0-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The Profs have a 4-5 record with a 1-2 conference mark.
Rowan ended the game with nine shots and Stockton had seven. Forward Aiden Sheehan was turned away by goalkeeper Jennifer DeVault in the 56
thminute. Midfielders
Megan McKinley and Dominique Marrow and back
Casey Lubonski all contributed with a shot.
The Profs took five shots in the first half. McKinley led with two while forwards
Daria Jones,
Jessica Beck and
Abby Daigle each had one.
