GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University men's basketball team rolled to a 98-70 win over New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) opponent Kean University on Wednesday night.
The Profs made 18 three-pointers and tied the school record from 1996. Guard
Nick DePersia (sr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Haddonfield Mem.) led the team with 16 points and four threes. He also dished six assists. Guard
DaRon Curry (sr. Deptford, NJ/Phelps School (PA)) followed with 15 points, three three-pointers and five rebounds.

Ramon Wright (sr. Newark, NJ/Irvington) each contributed with 11 points. Wright totaled five assists. Guard
Rob DePersia (sr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Haddonfield Mem.) chipped in with 10 points. Center
Diante Bah (jr. Mount Holly, NJ/Rancocas Valley Reg.) blocked four shots and added eight points and four boards.
Rowan is 11-4 overall and 5-3 in the conference, Kean has a 2-13 record with an 0-8 NJAC mark.
Guard/forward Justin Watson (sr. New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle) scored 16 points for the Cougars. Forward/center Nate Lyles (fr. Franklin, NJ/Rutgers Prep) totaled 12 points and six rebounds. Guard Jodrell Thompson (sr. Avenel, NJ/Colonia) and forward/center Micah Kerr (sr. Neptune, NJ/Neptune) had 11 and 10 points respectively. Guard Jailen Jamison (fr. Bronx, NY/Phelps School) and Kerr each pulled down six boards. Jamison also had four assists.
Rowan started the game with a 20-6 run (12:00) that ended with a three-pointer by Legler. Wright was the leader in the surge with six points.
Rob DePersia nailed a three to lead by 15 (29-14) with 5:54 remaining. Watson cut the deficit to 10 (29-19) with a three-pointer at 4:39. The Profs answered with eight straight points for an 18 point advantage (37-19) with 2:05 on the clock. Bah's layup at the one second mark put Rowan ahead 42-23 at the break.
Rowan opened the final period with a 15-8 surge to lead by 26 (57-31) at 15:14. Six different players contributed in the run. Forward
Jonathan Hevalow (jr. Sicklerville, NJ/Atlantic Christian School) nailed a three at 12:13 for a 30 point lead (69-39). The Profs' biggest lead of the game was 31 points, two times. The first one came after a three by guard
Connor Dickerson (fr. Marlton, NJ/Moorestown) at 9:31 (75-44). Curry drilled a three (7:15), which made the score 78-47. The closest Kean came was 22 points (85-63) after a three by guard Barry Brown (fr. Asbury Park, NJ/Roselle Catholic) with 3:19 left.
Nick DePersia and Curry produced 10 points apiece in the second half.
Rowan travels to Rutgers-Newark on Saturday, Jan. 12 for an 8 p.m. conference game.
