Emory Men's Soccer Wins 1-0 Over Rowan At Cialella Classic

CAMDEN, NJ – The Emory University men's soccer team won 1-0 over Rowan University at the Cialella Soccer Classic on Saturday.   
 
Forward Keegan McCombie (jr. Frisco, TX/Centennial) scored the game-winner at 36:53. Midfielder Jun Tsuru (sr. Roswell, GA/Milton) had the assist. The Eagles (3-0) are ranked eighth in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll.
  
In the other first round game, Rutgers-Camden defeated the College of Staten Island, 3-1.  On Sunday, Emory and Rutgers-Camden play at 2 p.m. followed by Staten Island against Rowan at 4:30 p.m.  
 
The Eagles edged the Profs in total shots, 8-7 and each team had three corner kicks.  Goalkeeper Cole Gallagher (so. Louisville, KY/Kentucky Day School) stopped two shots for his second shutout this season.  Rowan's goalie Kyle Dennis (sr. South Plainfield, NJ/South Plainfield) had three saves.
