GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women's soccer team shut out Rosemont College, 10-0 on Tuesday night.
The Profs scored five times in each half. Forward
Daria Jones (jr. Jackson, NJ/Jackson Mem.) contributed with three goals. Forward
Cathryn McCarry (sr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) and midfielder
Caitlyn Cordell (fr. Middletown, DE/Appoquinimink) each produced two goals.
Midfielders
Sami Pagnani (sr. Bordentown, NJ/Bordentown Reg.),
Megan McKinley (jr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) and
Darah Wagner (jr. Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) all hit the net one time. McKinley also had one assist. Backs
Kelsi Stangl (so. Park Ridge, NJ/Park Ridge),
Kalin Priest (fr. Somerdale, NJ/Highland Reg.) and
Jessica Logan (fr. Jobstown, NJ/Northern Burlington County Reg.) and forward/midfielder
Aidan Sheehan (so. Hamilton Square, NJ/Steinert) chipped in with one assist apiece.
Rowan totaled 20 shots while Rosemont had one. Goalies
Shelby Money (sr. Vineland, NJ/Vineland) and
Amanda Leber (so. Pennington, NJ/Hopewell Valley Central) each played a half and shared the shutout. For the Ravens, goalkeeper Emma Lindsay (fr. Oreland, PA/Springfield Twp. (Montco)) made five saves.
Next week, Rowan plays two games at Pfeiffer University in Misenheimer, NC. The Profs meet Wesleyan College (GA) on Friday, Sept. 7 at 6 p.m. They face Emory University on Sunday, Sept. 9 at 11 a.m.
