UNION, NJ – The Rowan University and Kean University women's soccer teams battled to a scoreless tie after two overtimes on Saturday.
The Profs are 7-0-1 overall and 3-0-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC). The Cougars have a 3-3-4 record with a 1-1-2 conference mark.
Kean goalie Mary Bystrycki (fr. Ewing, NJ/Ewing) made 14 saves while Rowan goalkeeper
Shelby Money (sr. Vineland, NJ/Vineland) had four stops. It was Money's fourth shutout on the season and the 32nd of her career, which breaks the school record. The previous mark was 31 shutouts by Becky Petsch (1999-02).
Rowan outshot Kean, 20-8 in regulation and the Profs had a 6-5 advantage in overtime.
Next week, Rowan travels to Eastern University on Wednesday, Oct. 1 for a 4 p.m. game.
