Box Score GLENSIDE, PA – The Rowan University women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 setback to Elizabethtown College on the opening day of the Knights Invitational on Friday.
 
The set scores were 25-18, 25-16 and 25-18. The Profs had their three-game win streak snapped and they are 6-6 on the year. The Blue Jays improve to 7-3. Arcadia University is the host for the two-day tournament.
 
Outside hitter Elle Shatto (so. Sykesville, MD/Liberty) led Elizabethtown with 13 kills. Middle hitter Mackenzie Garner (jr. Huntingdon, PA/Huntingdon) and outside hitter Sarah Schneider (jr. Downingtown, PA/Downingtown STEM Academy) each tallied 11 kills. Setter Gabby Anders (jr. Lancaster, PA/Penn Manor) amassed 32 assists. Libero/defensive specialist Aiyana Tietze-Di Toro (fr. Seattle, WA/Shorecrest) recorded five service aces and Shatto added four. Tietze-Di Toro also had 16 digs.

Megan Jacobi (so. Nazareth, PA/Nazareth Area) produced nine kills and outside hitter/opposite 
Kailey Gallagher (so. Bayonne, NJ/Bayonne) followed with six. Setter 
Katelyn Paxson (so. Long Valley, NJ/West Morris Central) totaled 16 assists. Defensive specialist/libero 
Amy Staiber (so. Morton, PA/Ridley) and outside hitter/right side 
Kristin Akin (jr. Kinnelon, NJ/Kinnelon) contributed with 10 digs apiece. Middle hitter/opposite 
Gina Kisley (sr. Paramus, NJ/Paramus) had four blocks.
 
The Profs finish their trip with two matches on Saturday, Sept. 23. The volleyball team plays SUNY Canton at 11 a.m. and the College of New Rochelle at 1 p.m.
