Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University men's soccer team closed out the Cialella Soccer Classic with a 7-0 shutout of Frostburg State University on Sunday to capture the tournament title.
Rutgers-Camden was the host for the two-day invitational. The Profs are ranked 17
th in the nation and have a 4-1 record. The Bobcats are 0-3-2 overall. Rowan defeated Christopher Newport University, 2-1 in the opening round on Saturday.
Rowan outshot Frostburg State, 27-3. The Profs registered three goals in the first half and four after the break. Forwards
Matt Hendrickson (so. Sewell, NJ/Clearview Reg.) and
Shane Doherty (jr. Delran, NJ/Delran) and midfielder
Kevin Primich (so. Allentown, NJ/Allentown) each recorded two goals. Forward
Alex Nicol (fr. Caldwell, NJ/James Caldwell) produced his first collegiate tally.

Travis Ward (sr. New Egypt, NJ/New Egypt) and
Zack Sakena (jr. Ocean View, NJ/Ocean City) and back
Will Sjaastad (jr. Allentown, NJ/Allentown) notched one assist apiece.
Hendrickson was tabbed the classic's offensive most valuable player (MVP) after totaling three goals in two games. Midfielder
Modou Sowe (so. Harrison, NJ/Harrison) was named the defensive MVP. Sjaastad and Doherty joined them on the All-Tournament Team.
Profs' goalkeeper
Kyle Dennis (jr. South Plainfield, NJ/South Plainfield) made one save for his first shutout of the season. Goalie Juan Bofill (fr. Silver Spring, MD/Good Counsel) stopped six shots in 72:11 and Kyle Frye (fr. White Plains, MD/St. Charles) had three saves in the final 17:49 for the Bobcats.
Rowan begins a four-game home stand on Wednesday, Sept. 13 when it takes on Hood College at 6 p.m.
