NEW YORK, NY – The Rowan University men's swimming and diving team defeated Pace University, 143-90 on Friday.
The Profs took first place in the 400 medley (3:32.61) and 200 freestyle (1:28.31) relays. The medley relay consisted of
Dan Lawton (jr. Yardley, PA/Pennsbury),
Matt Grubb (so. Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Reg.),
Nick Marte (sr. Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) and
Eric Feuerstein (sr. Absecon, NJ/Holy Spirit).
Kevin Gillooly (fr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.),
Marc Gernhardt (jr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee),
Nate Wojtowicz (jr. Centreville, MD/Queen Anne's County) and Feuerstein made up the free relay.
John Tepper (sr. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Atlantic County Institute of Tech.) swam a winning time of 1:47.40 in the 200 freestyle and he also won the 100 free (48.59). Gillooly was the 50 free winner in 22.12. Lawton had a first place (2:00.11) in the 200 backstroke.
Chad Shire (so. Mullica Hill, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) captured first in the one (231.60) and three-meter (203.70) diving.
Noah Shepard (fr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) came in second (2:11.41) in the 200 individual medley followed by Grubb, third (2:12.47) and
Aaron Schiff (fr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.), fourth (2:13.74). Shepard was also second (2:22.40) in the 200 breaststroke.
Kyle Printon (fr. Somerset, NJ/Bishop George Ahr) had a second place (49.41) in the 100 freestyle and he was third (10:27.51) in the 1000.
Matt Smits (fr. Oakland, NJ/Indian Hills) finished third (4:58.46) in the 500 freestyle.
Jake Kayati (so. Mullica Hill, NJ/Woodstown) was third (2:07.22) in the 200 butterfly.
Matt Schillaci (so. Sicklerville, NJ/Glassboro) came in third in the 200 backstroke (2:05.79) and 200 breaststroke (2:23.71).
Colin Fisher (sr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) finished third (1:51.82) in the 200 freestyle while Marte was third (22.29) in the 50 free.
