Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to visiting Ramapo College in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) match on Tuesday night.
The set scores were 25-19, 25-22 and 25-18. The Profs are 11-14 overall and 3-4 in the conference. The Roadrunners improve to 16-6 with a 6-1 NJAC mark.
Outside hitter Larysa Iwaskiw (sr. Westwood, NJ/Immaculate Heart Academy) led Ramapo with 25 kills. Setters Kate Shirkey (so. Roxbury, NJ/Roxbury) and Sara Correa (fr. Edison, NJ/Westfield) produced 22 and 13 assists respectively. Outside hitter/defensive specialist Karina Almeda (so. Mahwah, NJ/Mahwah) recorded 14 digs and five service aces. Defensive specialist Sarah Mulligan (sr. Manorville, NY/Eastport South Manor) registered 17 digs.

Taylor Modica (fr. Newark, DE/Appoquinimink) tallied eight kills while outside hitter
Megan Jacobi (so. Nazareth, PA/Nazareth Area) and middle hitter
Lauren Horbacewicz (fr. Toms River, NJ/Toms River E.) each added five. Setters
Katelyn Paxson (so. Long Valley, NJ/West Morris Central) and
Tori Mock (fr. Chadds Ford, PA/Archmere Academy (DE)) amassed 14 and 10 assists respectively. They also posted 11 digs apiece and defensive specialist/libero
Amy Staiber (so. Morton, PA/Ridley) had 10.
Next, the Profs host a quad match on Saturday, Oct. 21. Rowan plays New York University at noon and Stevenson University at 6 p.m.
