Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women's soccer team defeated New Jersey City University, 5-0 on Wednesday night. It was the conference opener for both teams.

Shannon Reardigan (jr. Glassboro, NJ/Glassboro) contributed with a goal and an assist. Forwards
Maxine New (sr. Clayton, NJ/Clayton) and
Cathryn McCarry (so. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) and midfielder
Danni Kitzinger (jr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) each hit the net one time. Back
Maddie Williscroft (so. Linwood, NJ/Mainland Reg.) chipped in with two assists.
The Profs are 8-0 on the season and the Gothic Knights have a 3-2-1 record. Goalie
Shelby Money (so. Vineland, NJ/Vineland) registered her fifth shutout. For NJCU, goalkeeper Paula Viana (jr. Elizabeth, NJ/Hamilton Prep Academy) stopped eight shots.
New started the scoring at 19:55 with a free kick from 25 yards. Kelly had the second marker (23:58) with a shot after Williscroft sent the ball into the box. McCarry scored on a breakaway at 53:25 after a pass up the middle from Williscroft. Reardigan hit the top right corner of the net at the 63rd minute and Kelly had the assist. Kitzinger produced the final score (63:48) with assists from Reardigan and Kelly.
Next, Rowan travels to conference opponent William Paterson University on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 5:30 p.m.
