Box Score ELIZABETHTOWN, PA – The Rowan University women's volleyball team lost to Messiah College, 3-0 in its first match at the Days Inn Blue Jays Classic hosted by Elizabethtown College on Friday night.
 
The set scores were 25-17, 25-14 and 25-13. The Profs have a record of 2-7 and the Falcons have a mark of 8-1. The Days Inn Blue Jays Classic continues on Saturday with Rowan playing Elizabethtown at 10 a.m. and the University of Rochester at noon.
 
Middle hitter/opposite Jamie Shirtz (so. Mendham, NJ/West Morris Mendham) collected four kills. Setter Katelyn Paxson (fr. Long Valley, NJ/West Morris Central) had five assists. Defensive specialist/libero Rebecca Dantonio (sr. Glen Mills, PA/Garnet Valley) recorded 12 digs and middle hitter Erin Keegan (so. Fairfield, NJ/West Essex) had eight.
 
For Messiah, outside hitter Jane Underman (sr. Finksburg, MD/Carroll Christian School) tallied nine kills. Middle hitter Mary Underman (fr. Finksburg, MD/Carroll Christian School) accumulated eight kills. Setter Brooke Gallagher (sr. Westminster, MD/Francis Scott Key) had 25 assists and libero/defensive specialist Emily Zellers (sr. Landisville, PA/Hempfield) added 10 digs.
