Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University baseball team defeated DeSales University, 13-2 on Saturday afternoon.
Second baseman
Evan Hughes (sr. Wilmington, DE/Alexis I. duPont) contributed with three hits in four at bats and three RBIs. Shortstop
Jason Clapper (jr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Lenape) was three for three with a double, two RBIs and one run. Left fielder
Eric Oliver (sr. Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Reg.) added two hits and scored two runs. Center fielder
Shane Brown (jr. Annandale, NJ/North Hunterdon Reg.) produced two hits, one double, two RBIs and three runs.
Catcher
Greg Myers (sr. Westmont, NJ/Haddon Twp.) recorded a two run homer. First baseman
Steven Todd (sr. Millstone Twp., NJ/Allentown) collected two hits, one RBI and three runs. Designated player

Right-hander
Johnny Dunn (sr. Pitman, NJ/Pitman) was the winning pitcher. He (1-2) threw six innings for his first victory on the season and struck out five batters. Righty Felix Martinez Jr. (fr. Allentown, PA/Roberto Clemente Charter School) had the loss.
The Profs improve to 9-9 overall while the Bulldogs drop to 6-8. Catcher Mike Kacergis (jr. Sellersville, PA/Pennridge) was two for three with a double, one RBI and one run. First baseman Jay Maletz (sr. Stroudsburg, PA/St. Pius X) had one hit and one RBI.
Hughes singled in two runs in the first inning to lead 2-0. DeSales tied the score in the top of the fourth and in the bottom half, Rowan went ahead 6-2. Kacergis drove in one run with a double for the Bulldogs and Maletz had a RBI on a ground out. Myers' two run homer put the Profs ahead 4-2. Clapper knocked in two runs with a single to center field.
In the sixth, Rowan tacked on four runs. Todd crossed the plate on an error. Clapper recorded a two RBI double and he scored on Hughes' single. Brown had a two RBI double in the seventh inning and Todd registered one RBI with a base hit in the eighth.
Rowan travels to Penn State Abington on Tuesday, March 29 for a 3:30 p.m. game.
