Profs tie the record for wins (38) under head coach Mike Dickson

EASTLAKE, OHIO - The Rowan baseball season came to an end in the NCAA Division III World Series for the second year in a row as the second-seeded Profs fell to seventh-seeded Adrian, 4-1. The Profs end the year with a 38-7 record and Adrian moves on to play sixth-seeded Endicott, which is 2-0 in the tournament, on Monday at 1:15 p.m.

Adrian's Sean Parker went the distance to defeat the Profs, limiting Rowan to nine hits while he struck out three.

Senior DH Ian Murphy had two hits for Rowan as did sophomore 2B Joey Bogart. Senior Kevin Cole pinch hit in the seventh and his ground out drove in a run.

The Bulldogs struck first, getting two runs in the third on four hits and a Rowan error. They Bulldogs it to 3-0 in the fourth after stringing together a few hits and scoring on a fielder's choice.

In the sixth, Rowan loaded the bases on singles by McCoach and Davis and Suriani reaching on an error, but Adrian SS Nic Bruder turned the double play to end the Profs' inning.

Rowan got on the board in the seventh as Struble reached on a fielder's choice and Bogart doubled to move Struble to third. Cole grounded out but Struble was able to record the Profs' lone run.

The Profs had two runners on in the bottom of the ninth but Parker was able to complete the victory.

Christian Rice went 3.0 innings for the Profs in the start while Jack Norton threw 3.0 innings and only allowed one run. Evan Brasberger threw 2.1 innings and Nick Watson finished out the game.
