Box Score AUBURNDALE, FL – The Rowan University baseball team had a 9-3 loss against Framingham State University (MA) on Tuesday.
Right-hander Zack Kirby was the winning pitcher. He threw six innings, scattered seven hits and gave up two runs, one earned. Lefty
Bo Gilligan (fr. Ringwood, NJ/Lakeland Reg.) took the loss. The Profs are 5-6 on the season while it was the season opener for the Rams.
Catcher Ryan Wardwell led Framingham State with two hits (five at bats), three RBIs and one run. First baseman Kyle Pileski contributed with two RBIs and one run. Center fielder RJ Gray totaled two hits, one RBI and one run. Shortstop Aaron Rios had two hits and scored two runs. Left fielder Jake Wardwell chipped in with two RBIs. Ryan Wardwell, Jake Wardwell and Pileski each recorded a home run.

Steven Todd (sr. Millstone Twp., NJ/Allentown) and designated hitter
Monny Strickland (so. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.) each had one hit and one RBI. Second baseman

The Profs got on the scoreboard with one run in the first inning and the Rams had two in the bottom half. Strickland drove in Hughes with a single to left field. Rowan tied the score with one run in the second. Todd's base hit to right field scored catcher
Greg Myers (sr. Westmont, NJ/Haddon Twp.). Framingham went ahead 9-2 after two runs in the third inning, three in the fourth and two in the fifth. The Profs' final run came in the ninth inning. Designated hitter
Dillon Mendel (fr. Sparta, NJ/Sparta) doubled to right center, scoring Brown.
