Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ  – The College of New Jersey held on for a 90-82 conference victory at Rowan University on Wednesday night.
 
The Lions had five players that scored in double figures and they made 16 three-pointers.  Guard Eric Klacik (jr. Basking Ridge, NJ/Ridge) led the way with 21 points, which included five threes. Guard Eric Murdock, Jr. (so. Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater) recorded a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds.  He also dished eight assists.  Center Steven Kelly (so. Newton, NJ/Newton) contributed with 14 points.  Guard Nick Alaimo (jr. Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough) added 12 points off the bench and forward Jordan Glover (fr. Lawrenceville, NJ/Lawrence) had 11. 
 
TCNJ is 13-8 overall and 8-6 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC).  The Profs have an 8-13 record with a 5-9 conference mark. 
 
Forward Shawn Wilson (jr. Pleasantville, NJ/Pleasantville) scored 23 points and grabbed seven boards.  Guard Rob DePersia (fr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Haddonfield Mem.) totaled 17 points and six rebounds.  Guard Kris O'Connor (sr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Paul VI) registered 14 points.  
 
The score was tied at 44 with 14:30 remaining in the second half.  TCNJ racked up 14 unanswered points, which made the score 58-44 at 11:40.  Murdock tallied six points while Kelly and Klacik each had four.  Rowan followed with six straight points and trailed by seven (58-51) at the 10:33 mark.  Guard Josh Borrelli (jr. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) made a three while DePersia and Carthan added one basket apiece.  Glover's three-pointer (6:58) gave the Lions a 12-point advantage (67-55).  O'Connor scored with a tip-in then a foul shot (5:23) and the Profs trailed 70-62. 
 
Murdock's three put TCNJ up by nine (76-67) at the 4:12 mark.  DePersia followed with a layup (3:56) and forward Ben Hills (jr. Mount Holly, NJ/Rancocas Valley Reg.) had two points at the line (3:11), which trimmed the deficit to five (76-71).  The Lions led 83-75 with 1:03 on the clock.  They sealed the win with seven of 10 free throws. 
 
In the first half, forward Chris Gross' (sr. Cranford, NJ/Roselle Catholic) layup tied the score at 16 with 11:15 left.  TCNJ went ahead 18-16 (10:20) after Kelly's layup.  Rowan built a seven-point lead (25-18) at 7:36 with nine straight points.  O'Connor produced seven points and Wilson added two.  Borrelli hit a jumper and the score was 27-20 at 6:57.  Klacik drilled back-to-back threes to go ahead 29-27 at the 4:41 mark. 
 
The Profs trailed 32-30 (1:59) after Wilson's layup.  Guard Nick DePersia (fr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Haddonfield Mem.) knotted the score at 32 (1:33) with a basket and forward Gary Carthan (jr. Bordentown, NJ/Bordentown Reg.) followed with a three-pointer (1:06).  Rowan led 35-32 at the intermission.      
 
Rowan travels to Kean University on Saturday, Feb. 6 for a 1 p.m. NJAC contest.
