GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University men's swimming & diving team won 140-76 over Pace University on Saturday afternoon.
The Profs are undefeated with a 5-0 record and the Setters are 2-1 overall.
Adam Sicinski (so. Allentown, PA/Parkland),
Mike Simunek (sr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.),
Nick Marks (sr. Wenonah, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) and
Jesse Novak (sr. Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgwater-Raritan) made up the winning 200 medley relay that had a time of 1:35.56. The 200 freestyle relay of
Eric Feuerstein (jr. Absecon, NJ/Holy Spirit), Marks,
Matt Schillaci (fr. Sicklerville, NJ/Glassboro) and
John Tepper (jr. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Atlantic County Institute of Tech.) won in 1:27.76.
Paul Long (sr. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) touched first (1:47.78) in the 200 freestyle. He also had a second place (2:10.66) in the 200 breaststroke. Simunek was the winner (2:00.37) in the 200 individual medley.
Feuerstein was the winner (21.83) in the 50 free while Novak claimed first (46.31) in the 100 freestyle.
John Morris (sr. Bridgeton, NJ/Cumberland Reg.) and
Sean Piacente (so. New City, NY/Clarkstown S.) were first (332.03) and second (328.20) respectively in the three-meter diving. They both surpassed the NCAA qualifying mark (six dives) of 285 points.
Tepper finished second (16:55.84) in the 1650 freestyle followed by
Anthony Czar (sr. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.), third (17:31.93) and
David Smits (so. Oakland, NJ/Indian Hills), fourth (17:43.63). In the 200 freestyle,
Chris Boyle (sr. Springfield, NJ/Seton Hall Prep) and
Colin Fisher (jr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) were second (1:48.57) and third (1:49.65) respectively. Boyle also had a second place (2:07.51) in the 200 butterfly and
Marc Gernhardt (so. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) came in third (2:08.33).
Nate Wojtowicz (so. Centreville, MD/Queen Anne's County) finished second (22.21) in the 50 free. Sicinski had a second place (1:59.06) in the 200 backstroke and he was third (2:02.60) in the 200 individual medley.
Dan Lawton (so. Yardley, PA/Pennsbury) took third (49.24) in the 100 freestyle.
Luke Wister (sr. Haddon Heights, NJ/Haddon Heights) came in third (2:03.81) in the 200 backstroke and
Joe Simunek (fr. Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway) finished third (2:20.55) in the 200 breaststroke. Schillaci was third (5:06.07) in the 500 freestyle.
