Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women's soccer team picked up its 14
th shutout of the season with a 4-0 victory over visiting Rutgers-Newark in New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) action on Saturday.
It was the final home game of the regular season for the 14
th-ranked Profs, who upped their record to 14-0-1 overall and 6-0-1 in the conference. The Scarlet Raiders dropped to 1-12-2 with a 0-7 NJAC mark.
Rowan tallied two goals in both the first and second halves. Midfielder/back
Morgan Myers (jr. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) opened the scoring just under five minutes in. Forward
Shannon Reardigan (jr. Glassboro, NJ/Glassboro) rang a shot off the crossbar and Myers was there to put in the rebound.
With just 36 seconds remaining before the break, forward
Lauren Coletti (jr. Matawan, NJ/Old Bridge) gave the Profs a two-goal advantage. She beat the goalkeeper to the right side after receiving a pass from back
Elizabeth Thackston (fr. Waterford, NJ/Hammonton).

Melissa Kelly (jr. Pine Brook, NJ/DePaul Catholic) made the score 3-0 at 50:48. She scored from the middle of the box after controlling a cross by midfielder
Megan Carchidi (sr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Reg.). Forward
Cathryn McCarry (so. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) ended the scoring at 65:08, tapping in a pass from Coletti.
The Rowan defense stifled Rutgers-Newark and did not allow a shot on goal. Goalkeeper
Shelby Money (so. Vineland, NJ/Vineland) played 73:23 in the Profs' net and
Courtney Simpson (so. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) saw the final 16:37 of action. For the Scarlet Raiders, goalie Diana Carvalho (jr. Newark, NJ/East Side) made seven saves in 82:28 and Heidi Paulson (fr. West Orange, NJ/West Orange-Paramus Catholic) stopped one shot in the closing 7:32.
