Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University men's basketball team won 99-71 over Kean University in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) game on Saturday afternoon.
Guard
Kris O'Connor (sr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Lenape) scored a game-high 21 points. He also had five rebounds and five assists. Forward
Shawn Wilson (jr. Pleasantville, NJ/Pleasantville) totaled 20 points and eight boards. Forward
Chris Gross (sr. Cranford, NJ/Roselle Catholic) recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

TJ Booth (so. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) chipped in with nine points. Guard
Rob DePersia (fr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Haddonfield Mem.) contributed with eight points, six boards and six assists. Forward
Gary Carthan (jr. Bordentown, NJ/Bordentown Reg.) added eight points and guard
Josh Borrelli (jr. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) followed with seven.
The Profs improve to 6-8 overall and 3-4 in the conference. The Cougars are 2-10 overall with a 2-5 NJAC mark.
Guard Diego Pujols (fr. Newark, NJ/Barringer) led the Cougars with 18 points, six rebounds and five assists. Forward Micah Kerr (fr. Neptune, NJ/Neptune) produced 11 points and guard Mike Diamond (sr. Phillipsburg, NJ/Phillipsburg) had nine points and eight boards.
In the first half, Kean was ahead 11-6 at 16:05 after Diamond's layup. Rowan followed with 13 straight points to lead 19-11 at 12:37. Five different players scored in the surge. The Cougars trailed by two (19-17) with 10:58 remaining. The Profs built a 22-point lead (43-21) at 5:07 after a 24-4 run. This time there were seven players that registered points. Booth made two foul shots with 1:15 left and the score was 52-29. Rowan led by 23 points (57-34) at the intermission. O'Connor was the scoring leader with 15 points and Wilson tallied 11.
Wilson's layup at 17:37 in the second period gave the Profs a 23-point lead (61-38). Pujols had two free throws (15:29) and Kean trailed by 16 (61-45). Center
Dan Brogan (sr. Northvale, NJ/Northern Valley Old Tappan) made the score 69-45 (13:20) with two points at the line. O'Connor's three-pointer at 10:56 put Rowan up by 25 points (77-52). Borrelli hit a three and the score was 86-61 with 7:12 on the clock. The Profs had a 30-point advantage with two foul shots (5:55) by DePersia. Forward
Ben Hills (jr. Mount Holly, NJ/Rancocas Valley Reg.) scored with a layup (2:43) and Rowan had its biggest lead of the game, 32 points (97-65).
Next week, Rowan travels to William Paterson University on Wednesday, Jan. 13 for an 8 p.m. conference game.
