Box Score 2 GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women's volleyball team split its two matches at the Profs Invitational on Friday. The Profs lost to Marymount University, 3-0 and defeated The College of Mount Saint Vincent, 3-1.
The set scores against Mount Saint Vincent were 25-10, 24-26, 25-21 and 25-23. Outside hitter
Erica O'Hagan (jr. Cedar Grove, NJ/Cedar Grove) led Rowan with 10 kills and 10 digs. Outside hitter
Danielle Havlicek (sr. Midland Park, NJ/Midland Park) had 13 digs, nine kills and five service aces. Middle hitter
Maggie Catherina (sr. Ridgefield, NJ/Ridgefield Mem.) and opposite
Dalton Sanchez (fr. Olney, MD/Sherwood) each contributed with six kills. Defensive specialist/setter
Rebecca Dantonio (jr. Glen Mills, PA/Garnet Valley) added 18 assists and libero
Jennifer Vorel (jr. Madison, NJ/Madison) tallied 16 digs.
For the Dolphins, middle hitter Ashleigh Scozzari (sr. New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle) had 11 kills and outside hitter Maria Leineweber (jr. Waimanalo, HI/Sacred Hearts Academy) ended the match with 10. Setter Nicole Henderson (so. Bergenfield, NJ/Bergenfield) recorded 29 assists and defensive specialist/libero Kristine Javier (so. Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) added 10 digs.
The set scores against Marymount were 25-20, 25-16 and 25-15. Outside hitter Emileigh Rettig (jr. Alexandria, VA/Bishop Ireton) led the Saints with 11 kills and eight digs. Middle hitter/opposite Margaret McAlpin (sr. Brookeville, MD/Sherwood Hall) recorded eight kills. Setter/opposite Caroline Hanson (fr. Montgomery Village, MD/Watkins Mill) tallied 13 assists and nine digs, while libero Courtney Phung (sr. Stone Ridge, VA/Freedom) added 13 digs and six assists.
For Rowan, O'Hagan accumulated eight kills and four digs. Setter
Mary-Grace Testa (so. Kearny, NJ/Mount Saint Dominic Academy) had 12 assists and Vorel collected 26 digs.
