Box Score 2 ALLENTOWN, PA – The Rowan University women's volleyball finished seventh at the Buttermaker Tournament after splitting two matches on Saturday. The Profs fell to Moravian College, 3-1 and defeated Dickinson College, 3-1. The tournament was hosted by Muhlenberg College.
Rowan has a mark of 5-4 and Dickinson is 3-7. The set scores were 25-19, 28-26, 20-25 and 25-18. Outside hitter
Danielle Havlicek (sr. Midland Park, NJ/Midland Park) had 10 kills and four service aces. Outside hitter
Erica O'Hagan (jr. Cedar Grove, NJ/Cedar Grove) added seven kills. Setter
Mary-Grace Testa (so. Kearny, NJ/Mount Saint Dominic Academy) and defensive specialist/setter
Rebecca Dantonio (jr. Glen Mills, PA/Garnet Valley) collected 19 and 11 assists, respectively. Libero
Jennifer Vorel (jr. Madison, NJ/Madison) recorded 14 digs and three service aces.
For Dickinson, middle hitter Gillian Chan tallied 11 kills. Setter Hannah Smith had 36 assists and 14 digs. Defensive specialist Arielle Misrok contributed with 16 digs. Outside hitter Emily Smith chipped in with 14 digs and three service aces.
Moravian has a record of 3-6 and the set scores were 25-17, 20-25, 25-18 and 25-19. Outside hitter Mary Zacher tallied 20 kills and 23 digs for the Greyhounds. Setter Megan Szkolnicki recorded 41 assists and 16 digs. Libero Jean Markovic had 29 digs. Outside hitter Rachel Farmer and setter Rebecca Purcell each added 14 digs.
Havlicek had 14 kills and five digs. Dantonio tallied 18 assists. Vorel added 12 digs and four assists.
Rowan returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at Rutgers-Camden at 7 p.m. in the New Jersey Athletic Conference opener.
