ResultsPLEASANTVILLE, NY – The Rowan University men's swimming and diving team swept a tri-meet at Pace University on Saturday. The Profs defeated St. Peter's University, 188-95 and Pace, 179-113.
Rowan is 4-2 on the season. The 200 freestyle relay had a winning time of 1:27.17. The relay consisted of
Anthony Czar (jr. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.),
Kyle Surette (sr. Martinsville, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan),
Nate Wojtowicz (fr. Centreville, MD/Queen Anne's County) and
Jesse Novak (jr. Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan). The 200 medley relay came in third (1:38.05) with
Dan Lawton (fr. Yardley, PA/Pennsbury),
Tyler Coe (sr. North Brunswick, NJ/North Brunswick Twp.),
Eric Feuerstein (so. Absecon, NJ/Holy Spirit) and
Adam Sicinski (fr. Breinigsville, PA/Parkland).
Novak was the winner in the 100 backstroke (53.44) and the 100 freestyle (47.50).
Joe Furze (fr. Moorestown, NJ/St. Joseph's Prep (PA)) came in first (1:56.90) in the 200 backstroke and Coe took first (58.10) in the 100 breaststroke.
John Morris (jr. Bridgeton, NJ/Cumberland Reg.) won the one and three-meter diving with 290.78 and 298.28 points respectively.
Steve Numata (fr. Princeton, NJ/Princeton) finished second (207.53) on the one-meter board and
Mike Grubb (fr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Reg.) was third (186.98). In the three-meter, Numata had a second place (207.75) and Grubb was third (154.20).
Nick Marks (jr. Wenonah, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) took second (1:57.91) in the 200 butterfly and third (1:49.46) in the 200 free. Sicinski touched second in the 50 free (22.46) and 100 butterfly (52.96).
Paul Long (jr. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) had a second place (2:11.63) in the 200 breaststroke and he was third (2:04.40) in the 200 individual medley.
In the 1000 freestyle,
John Tepper (so. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Atlantic County Institute of Technology) finished third (10:15.49) followed by
Steven Buzby (jr. Linwood, NJ/Mainland Reg.), fourth (10:15.53),
David Smits (fr. Oakland, NJ/Indian Hills), fifth (10:41.05) and Furze, sixth (10:51.09).
Eric Emerson (jr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) was third (2:02.62) in the 200 backstroke and
Mike Simunek (jr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) took fourth (2:13.76).
Chris Boyle (jr. Springfield, NJ/Seton Hall Prep) and Lawton were fourth (1:50.79) and fifth (1:51.83) respectively in the 200 freestyle. Feuerstein was fourth (57.26) in the 100 backstroke and Surette came in fourth (49.72) in the 100 free.
Connor Buck (sr. Eastampton, NJ/Rancocas Valley Reg.) had fourth places in the 200 butterfly (2:02.97) and 500 freestyle (5:04.20).
Rowan's next competition is at the Lions' Invitational on Friday-Sunday, Dec. 4-6. The meet is at The College of New Jersey.
