Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ROCHESTER, NY – The Rowan University women's volleyball team lost to Nazareth College, 3-2 and Rochester Institute of Technology, 3-0 at the New York Regional Challenge on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Profs have an overall mark of 11-21 after today's matches. The Golden Flyers are 19-16 overall and the Tigers are 21-18.
 
The set scores against Nazareth were 25-23, 25-23, 26-28, 23-25 and 15-7. Outside hitter Cady Messmer (jr. Albion, NY/Albion) recorded 19 kills and nine digs. Middle blocker/right side Kelsey Milligan (fr. Pavilion, NY/Pavilion) tallied 12 kills. Setter Maureen Thayer (jr. Baldwinsville, NY/C.W. Baker) collected 46 assists and 13 digs. Libero/defensive specialist Olivia Krick (fr. Avon, NJ/Avon) had 24 digs and outside hitter/libero Celia Cordero (fr. Clifton Springs, NY/Midlakes) added 13 digs and four service aces.
 
For Rowan, middle hitter Jamie Shirtz (fr. Medham, NJ/West Morris Mendham) contributed with 12 kills. Outside hitter Erin Keegan (fr. Fairfield, NJ/West Essex) compiled 11 kills and 14 digs. Defensive specialist/setter Rebecca Dantonio (jr. Glen Mills, PA/Garnet Valley) and setter Mary-Grace Testa (so. Kearny, NJ/Mount Saint Dominic Academy) had 22 and 21 assists respectively. Testa also tallied 15 digs. Outside hitter Erica O'Hagan (jr. Cedar Grove, NJ/Cedar Grove) chipped in with 18 digs.
 
The set scores against RIT were 25-17, 25-15 and 25-20. Outside hitter/right side Sarah Szybist (jr. Chicago, IL/Ramstein) tallied 16 kills and seven digs. Setter Erin Parkinson (fr. Carrollton, TX/W.T. White) collected 32 assists and nine digs. Libero/defensive specialist Rebecca Bennett (so. Springfield, PA/Springfield) had 14 digs.
 
Middle hitter Maggie Catherina (sr. Ridgefield, NJ/Ridgefield Mem.) collected eight kills. Dantonio and Testa each contributed with 11 assists. O'Hagan recorded 14 digs and Keegan added 10.
 
Rowan travels to Ramapo College for the first round of the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship Tournament on Tuesday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m.
