Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women's volleyball team lost to Cabrini College, 3-0 at the Rowan Quad.
The Profs have an overall record of 11-15 and the Cavaliers are 21-6. The set scores were 25-18, 25-17 and 25-14. In the other match, the University of Scranton defeated New York University, 3-0 (25-23, 25-21, 25-23).
Defensive specialist/outside hitter Nicole Sokolovich (so. Media, PA/Penncrest) led Cabrini with 12 kills and 12 digs. Middle hitter Christine Ingargiola (jr. Galloway, NJ/St. Joseph) recorded nine kills. Setter Cassidy Koenig (sr. King of Prussia, PA/Upper Merion) collected 34 assists and seven digs. Outside hitter/defensive specialist Kelly Guarino (jr. Pottstown, PA/Pope John Paul II) had 14 digs.
For Rowan, outside hitter
Danielle Havlicek (sr. Midland Park, NJ/Midland Park) tallied 10 kills and six digs. Setter
Mary-Grace Testa (so. Kearny, NJ/Mount Saint Dominic Academy) and defensive specialist/setter
Rebecca Dantonio (jr. Glen Mills, PA/Garnet Valley) contributed with 18 and 10 assists respectively. Outside hitter
Erica O'Hagan (jr. Cedar Grove, NJ/Cedar Grove) added 13 digs.
The Rowan Quad continues on Saturday, Oct. 24. Rowan faces New York University at 11 a.m. and the University of Scranton at 1 p.m.
