Box Score UNION, NJ – The Rowan University men's soccer team recorded a 2-1 victory at #12 Kean University in New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) action on Wednesday night.
The Profs have overall mark of 13-4 and they are 4-3 in the conference. The Cougars are 14-3 overall and 5-2 in the NJAC. Rowan is ranked third in the NCAA Division III South Atlantic Region and Kean is fifth.
Rowan took a 1-0 lead at the 14:59 mark in the first half when forward

Shane Doherty (fr. Delran, NJ/Delran) and beat the keeper on the right side. Back
Will Sjaastad (fr. Allentown, NJ/Allentown) headed in a corner kick by back
Shane Patterson (jr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Reg.) with 36:00 on the clock in the second to extend the Profs advantage. Kean midfielder Kevin Olaya (jr. Elizabeth, NJ/Alexander Hamilton) converted a penalty kick (78:16), cutting the deficit to 2-1.

Kyle Dennis (fr. South Plainfield, NJ/South Plainfield) made eight saves. Kean keeper Chidi Iloka (fr. Trenton, NJ/Nottingham) stopped three shots.
