Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 SAN ANTONIO, TX – The Rowan University women's volleyball team lost two matches at the Trinity Fall Classic on Friday. The two-day tournament is hosted by Trinity University.
 
Trinity defeated the Profs, 3-0 and Texas Lutheran University had a 3-0 victory. Rowan has a record 7-10. The Tigers are 12-8 and the Bulldogs have a mark of 11-3.
 
The set scores against Trinity were 25-10, 25-13 and 25-20. Outside hitter Kirby Smith topped the Tigers with 12 kills, nine digs and three service aces. Middle blocker Kristina Hughes registered 10 kills. Setter Erika Edrington accumulated 31 assists and 10 digs. Outside hitter Sarah Mullens had 10 digs and defensive specialist Shannon Courtney tallied eight.
 
For Rowan, middle hitter Maggie Catherina (sr. Ridgefield, NJ/Ridgefield Mem.) recorded seven kills. Outside hitter Erica O'Hagan (jr. Cedar Grove, NJ/Cedar Grove) collected six kills and five digs. Defensive specialist/setter Rebecca Dantonio (jr. Glen Mills, PA/Garnet Valley) had 11 assists. Setter Mary-Grace Testa (so. Kearny, NJ/Mount Saint Dominic Academy) contributed with eight assists and five digs. Libero Jennifer Vorel (jr. Madison, NJ/Madison) added 11 digs.
 
The set scores against Texas Lutheran were 25-16, 25-14 and 25-12. Outside hitter Kristin Fording who had 15 digs and eight kills led the Bulldogs. Middle blocker Mackenzie Zamarrippa and outside hitter Courtney Alexander chipped in with six kills apiece. Setter Kelcie Ingram contributed with 11 assists and nine digs. Libero/defensive specialist Megan Dugie tallied 20 digs and setter Kaci Pecht had 12 assists.
 
Outside hitter Danielle Havlicek (sr. Midland Park, NJ/Midland Park) recorded 10 kills and seven digs for the Profs. Dantonio accumulated 11 assists and 11 digs. Testa had nine assists and six digs. Vorel tallied 20 digs.
 
Rowan continues play at the Trinity Fall Classic on Saturday, Oct. 3. The Profs face Schreiner University at 11:30 a.m. and Hardin-Simmons University at 3:30 p.m.
