Box Score 2 OWINGS MILLS, MD – The Rowan University women's volleyball team lost two matches on Saturday at the Stevenson University Tri-Match. Franklin and Marshall College won 3-0 and Stevenson had a 3-0 victory.
Rowan as an overall record of 11-13 and Franklin and Marshall is 12-12 overall. The set scores were 25-10, 25-13 and 25-20.
Outside hitter Ellie Ezekiel (jr. Chadds Ford, PA/Garnet Valley) led the Diplomats with 11 kills and eight digs. Outside hitter/right side Barbara Kapustin (fr. West Nyack, NJ/Clarkstown) and right side/middle hitter Cassie Garison (so. Metuchen, NJ/John F. Kennedy) tallied eight kills apiece. Setter Allison Edelstein (jr. Livingston, NJ/Livingston) recorded 32 assists.
For Rowan, outside hitter
Kristin Akin (fr. Kinnelon, NJ/Kinnelon) collected five kills. Defensive specialist/setter
Rebecca Dantonio (jr. Glen Mills, PA/Garnet Valley) contributed with 11 assists and setter
Mary-Grace Testa (so. Kearny, NJ/Mount Saint Dominic Academy) chipped in with 10. Libero
Jennifer Vorel (jr. Madison, NJ/Madison) added eight digs.
Stevenson has an overall mark of 22-7. The set scores were 25-15, 25-17 and 25-20. Outside hitter Annika Schwartz (so. Damascus, MD/Damascus) accumulated 15 kills, four digs and two service aces. Outside hitter Kristen Brooks (jr. Wilmington, DE/Concord) added 12 kills and 10 digs. Setter Sara Bollinger (jr. Westminster, MD/Winter Mills) had 37 assists and defensive specialist Deanna Bradbury (so. Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Reg.) added 13 digs.
Outside hitter
Danielle Havlicek (sr. Midland Park, NJ/Midland Park) recorded 10 kills and 16 digs. Opposite/outside hitter
Jess Quinlan (jr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) had seven kills. Testa contributed with 16 assists and Dantonio collected eight assists and eight digs.
