Box Score TOWSON, MD – The Rowan University women's volleyball team defeated Goucher College, 3-1 on Wednesday night.
The set scores were 25-13, 17-25, 25-19 and 25-22. The Profs have a record of 2-3 and the Gophers' mark is 3-2.
Outside hitter
Danielle Havlicek (jr. Midland Park, NJ/Midland Park) had 11 kills and nine digs to lead Rowan. Opposite/outside hitter
Kelsey Mazurek (jr. Easton, PA/Easton Area) added nine kills and had a .412 hitting percentage, while middle hitter
Morgan Mende (jr. Glen Rock, NJ/Glen Rock) tallied seven kills. Setters
Rebecca Dantonio (so. Glen Mills, PA/Garnet Valley) and
Mary-Grace Testa (fr. Kearny, NJ/Mount Saint Dominic Academy) recorded 15 and 14 assists respectively. Libero
Jennifer Vorel (so. Madison, NJ/Madison) had 14 digs and outside hitter
Erica O'Hagan (so. Cedar Grove, NJ/Cedar Grove) ended the match with 10.
For Goucher, middle hitter Hannah Kuehl tallied 16 kills and setter Sarah Johnson had 28 assists. Right side Corinne Kahler, setter Erika DiPasquale and Johnson recorded eight digs apiece.
Rowan plays its home opener on Tuesday, September 9 at 7 p.m. against Baptist Bible College.
