Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women's volleyball team swept a tri-match, defeating Immaculata University, 3-1 and Mount Saint Mary College (NY), 3-1 on Saturday afternoon.
 
Immaculata won over Mount Saint Mary, 3-1. The Profs are 6-6 overall, while the Mighty Macs have a record of 9-1 and the Knights are 6-11 on the season.
 
The set scores against Immaculata were 25-23, 22-25, 25-21 and 25-22. Opposite/outside hitter Kelsey Mazurek (jr. Easton, PA/Easton Area) had 12 kills. Outside hitters Danielle Havlicek (jr. Midland Park, NJ/Midland Park) and Erica O'Hagan (so. Cedar Grove, NJ/Cedar Grove) and middle hitter Morgan Mende (jr. Glen Rock, NJ/Glen Rock) recorded eight kills apiece. O'Hagan also had 14 digs. Setter Mary-Grace Testa (fr. Kearny, NJ/Mount Saint Dominic Academy) collected 20 assists and 10 digs, while setter Rebecca Dantonio (so. Glen Mills, PA/Garnet Valley) added 19 assists. Libero Jennifer Vorel (so. Madison, NJ/Madison) accumulated 19 digs. Middle hitter Emily Fair (so. Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Reg.) had six blocks.
 
Setter Jamie Rombach (jr. Severn, MD/Archbishop Spalding) led Immaculata with 12 kills. Setter Brittany Thompson (sr. Ridley, PA/Ridley) and defensive specialist/setter Marando Jones (so. Ridley Park, PA/Ridley) had 19 and 16 assists respectively. Jones also collected 13 digs. Defensive specialist Molly Truitt (so. West Chester, PA/Bishop Shanahan) recorded 15 digs, while outside hitter/defensive specialist Emily Swank (fr.Boswell, PA/Bishop McCort Catholic) accumulated 14 and outside hitter Arden Vizzard (fr. Havertown, PA/Haverford) had 12.
 
In the first set, Rowan trailed 17-12, then went on 9-4 run to tie the score at 21. The Profs scored four of the final six points to take a 1-0 lead. Rowan jumped out to a 9-4 lead in set two, but Immaculata recorded 14 of the next 15 points for an 18-10 advantage. The Profs got as close as three points several times, but dropped the second set. The third set was tied at 13 before Rowan tallied 10 straight for a 23-13 lead. The Profs led 24-14 when the Mighty Macs went on a 7-0 run, but the Profs scored the final point of the set. Rowan took a 17-10 lead in the fourth set and held a 24-18 advantage. Immaculata scored four straight to trim the score to 24-22, but Rowan held on for the victory.
 
Against Mount Saint Mary, Havlicek tallied 10 kills and seven digs. Mazurek added eight kills and Vorel had 17 digs. Testa and Dantonio collected 15 assists apiece. O'Hagan accumulated nine digs and seven kills. Middle hitter/outside hitter Maggie Catherina (jr. Ridgefield, NJ/Ridgefield Mem.) collected four blocks.

Middle blocker Natalie Candarelli (sr. Cortland Manor, NY/JFK Catholic) led the Knights with 10 kills. Setters Kristen Maddock (so. Medford, NJ/Patchogue-Medford) and Claire Scully (so. Bloomfield, NJ/Bloomfield) had 17 and 10 assists respectively. Libero Chelsea Barberan (fr. Fishkill, NY/John Jay) amassed 15 digs, while right side Kaitlin O'Brien (jr. Staten Island, NY/New Dorp) finished with 12. The set scores were 25-16, 25-14, 20-25 and 27-25.
 
Rowan opened up big leads in the first two sets and cruised to victories. In the third set, Mount Saint Mary scored the first four points. The set then saw six ties, the last one at 18. The Knights tallies three straight points for a 21-18 advantage and went on to win the set. In set four, Rowan fought back from 13-7 and 18-13 deficits, eventually tying the set at 20. The set was then tied at 23 and 25, before Rowan scored the final two points to win the set and the match.
 
Rowan travels to Montlclair State University on Tuesday, September 23^rd for a 7 p.m. match.
