Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University men's soccer team won at home against Kean University, 3-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference opener for both teams.
The Profs improve to 5-3 overall while the Cougars have a 4-3-1 record. Forward

Vinny Ignatowicz (so. Toms River, NJ/Toms River S.) and backs
Dave Schwartz (jr. Pt. Pleasant, NJ/Pt. Pleasant Boro) and
Brendan Macfarlane (fr. Ocean View, NJ/Ocean City) each recorded an assist. Goalkeeper
Kevin Vasta (sr. Randolph, NJ/Randolph) made two saves.
Midfielder Santiago Roncal (sr. Lima, Peru/Harrison) had the tally for Kean. Midfielders Kelvin Flores (sr. Hightstown, NJ/Hightstown) and Robert Barrera (so. Elizabeth, NJ/Union) assisted on the goal. Goalie Nick Pavlichko (sr. Byram, NJ/Lenape Valley Reg.) stopped five shots.
The Cougars struck first at 38:13. Barrera had a corner kick and passed the ball to Flores. Flores' shot from the top of the box was deflected in by Roncal. Fountain tied the score at 59:48 when he headed in a throw-in from Schwartz. Ward gave the Profs the lead when he knocked in a cross from Ignatowicz (69:52). Logar added insurance at 76:01 when he put in a rebound off a shot from Macfarlane.
Rowan faces Randolph College in Manassas, VA on Wednesday, September 24 at 7 p.m.
