Box Score 2 NEW YORK, NY – The Rowan University women's volleyball team split its two matches on Saturday at the NYU Labor Day Invitational. The Profs defeated St. John Fisher College, 3-1 and lost to North Central College, 3-0.
The set scores against St. John Fisher were 25-19, 20-25, 26-24 and 25-15. Middle hitter Morgan Mende (jr. Glen Rock, NJ/Glen Rock) led the Profs with 16 kills and a .324 hitting percentage. Outside hitter Danielle Havlicek (jr. Midland Park, NJ/Midland Park) added 13 kills and opposite/outside hitter Kelsey Mazurek (jr. Easton, PA/Easton Area) had 11 kills and 10 digs. Setter Mary-Grace Testa (fr. Kearny, NJ/Mount Saint Dominic Academy) recorded 27 assists, while setter Rebecca Dantonio (so. Glen Mills, PA/Garnet Valley) finished the match with 17. Outside hitter Erica O'Hagan (so. Cedar Grove, NJ/Cedar Grove) accumulated 19 digs and libero Jennifer Vorel (so. Madison, NJ/Madison) tallied 14.
In the match versus North Central, Mende and Mazurek had eight and seven kills respectively. Testa and Dantonio tallied 10 assists apiece, while Vorel had 11 digs. The set scores were 25-13, 25-20, 25-18.
Rowan has a record of 1-3. The Profs travel to Goucher College on Wednesday, September 3 for a 7 p.m. match.
