Box Score 2 NEW YORK, NY – The Rowan University women's volleyball team dropped both its matches on Friday at the NYU Labor Day Invitational. The Profs fell to Centre College, 3-0 and to Hunter College, 3-0.
The set scores against the Praying Colonels were 25-21, 25-18 and 31-29. Opposite/outside hitter
Kelsey Mazurek (jr. Easton, PA/Easton Area) and outside hitter
Erica O'Hagan (so. Cedar Grove, NJ/Cedar Grove) led Rowan with eight kills apiece. O'Hagan also recorded 13 digs. Middle hitter
Morgan Mende (jr. Glen Rock, NJ/Glen Rock) tallied seven kills. Outside hitter
Danielle Havlicek (jr. Midland Park, NJ/Midland Park) had five kills and eight digs. Setter
Mary-Grace Testa (fr. Kearny, NJ/Mount Saint Dominic Academy) amassed 12 assists, while libero
Jennifer Vorel (so. Madison, NJ/Madison) accumulated 24 digs.
The Hawks won by the set scores of 25-20, 25-23 and 25-20. Mazurek led the way with 11 kills. Havlicek and O'Hagan each recorded 10 digs, while Testa had 10 assists and six kills. Vorel tallied 13 digs and Mende ended the match with six kills.
Rowan faces North Central College on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and will play St. John Fisher College at 1:30 p.m.
