PRINCETON, NJ – The Rowan University women's indoor track team competed at the Princeton University Invitational on Sunday. 

Shailah Williams (so. Pemberton, NJ/Pemberton Twp.) ran a winning time of 7.67 in the 60 meter dash and improved on the school record that she held.  Her previous mark was 7.84.  She also had a sixth place (59.71) in the 400 meters.  Melirah Searcy (jr. Edison, NJ/Edison) finished third (57.66) in the 400 meters and fourth (2:19.36) in the 800 meters.

The 4x400 meter relay came in fourth (4:06.42) with Brianna Crofton (jr. Franklinville, NJ/Delsea Reg.), Kelly Vogt (fr. Audubon, NJ/Audubon), Amanda Brown (fr. Edison, NJ/Edison) and Samantha Stapleton (sr. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown).  Paige Brown (fr. Princeton, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro S.) took fourth place (9.21) in the 60 meter hurdles and tied for sixth in the high jump with a school record 5' 5" (1.65 meters).  She shared the previous mark (5' 3.75", 1.62 meters) with Janine Jones (1999) and Rona Henderson (1991).  Brown also finished sixth (35' 9.25", 10.90 meters) in the triple jump.

Jessica Carlson (sr. Manahawkin, NJ/Southern Reg.) tied for fourth (35' 10", 10.92 meters) in the triple jump.  Jessalynn Wright (so. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) was fifth (59.63) in the 400 meters while Tashay Wilson (jr. Hillside, NJ/Hillside) and Crofton were ninth (1:00.07) and 11th (1:00.75) respectively.  Wright had a 16th place (26.94) in the 200 meters.

Stapleton came in seventh (2:26.55) in the 800 meters and ninth (5:22.76) in the one mile.  Vanessa Valdes (so. Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack) finished eighth (1:22.35) in the 500 meters.  In the 1000 meters, Katie Juniewicz (fr. Galloway, NJ/Absegami) took sixth place (3:17.91) followed by Samantha Farina (jr. Bayville, NJ/Central Reg.), seventh (3:18.15), Claire Corbett (fr. Mount Holly, NJ/Rancocas Valley Reg.), eighth (3:25.32) and Valdes, ninth (3:31.61).        

Nicole Ras (fr. Middletown, NJ/Middletown N.) had a ninth place in the long jump with 16' 6" (5.03 meters).  Juniewicz finished 12th (5:28.24) in the one mile and Farina was 16th (5:32.66).  Priscila Antuna (sr. Waretown, NJ/Southern Reg.) took 13th (11:00.70) in the 3000 meters while Onyi Obelle (so. Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack) and Larissa Pywowariw (fr. Bordentown, NJ/Bordentown Reg.) were 14th (11:03.91) and 15th (11:09.38) respectively.  In the 60 meter hurdles, Rebecca Malos (fr. Wall, NJ/Wall) was 15th (9.67) followed by Carlson, 16th (9.72) respectively.  

Next, Rowan travels to the Armory on Saturday, March 1 for the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships at 5 p.m.
