FAIRFAX, VA – The Rowan University women's indoor track team competed at the Patriot Games on Saturday.  The meet was held at George Mason University. 

The 4x400 and 4x800 meter relays finished fourth with times of 3:59.68 and 9:43.41 respectively.  The 4x400 included Tashay Wilson (jr. Hillside, NJ/Hillside), Jessalynn Wright (so. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee), Shailah Williams (so. Pemberton, NJ/Pemberton Twp.) and Melirah Searcy (jr. Edison, NJ/Edison).  Samantha Stapleton (sr. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown), Wright, Wilson and Samantha Farina (jr. Bayville, NJ/Central Reg.) made up the 4x800.

Jamie Thompson (sr. Monmouth Jct., NJ/South Brunswick) took third place (9.17) in the Non-Division I 60 meter hurdles and Rebecca Malos (fr. Wall, NJ/Wall) came in fifth (9.68).  Wright ran 2:23.16 in the 800 meters for fourth place.  Paige Brown (fr. Princeton, NJ/W. Windsor-Plainsboro S.) finished fourth in the high jump with a height of 5' 3.25" (1.61 meters).  In the Non-Division I 60 meter hurdles, Felicia Smith (fr. Neptune, NJ/Neptune) was seventh (9.73) followed by Brown, eighth (9.75). 

Stapleton had a ninth place (1:20.00) in the 500 meters.  Jessica Carlson (sr. Manahawkin, NJ/Southern Reg.) was 11th (35' 3.75", 10.76 meters) in the triple jump.  Sam Kamper (sr. Middletown, NJ/Middletown N.) finished 13th in the high jump with 4' 11.5" (1.51 meters).  Thompson came in 14th (16' 8", 5.08 meters) in the long jump.  In the 400 meters, Searcy had a 14th place (1:00.06), Wilson was 20th (1:00.81) and Amanda Brown (fr. Edison, NJ/Edison) took 24th (1:01.45). 

Melissa Lake (so. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) finished 17th in the shot put with a throw of 31' 6" (9.60 meters).  Kelly Vogt (fr. Audubon, NJ/Audubon) was 18th (1:25.85) in the 500 meters followed by Nicole Ras (fr. Middletown, NJ/Middletown N.), 19th (1:26.49).  Ras also took 23rd (15' 6", 4.72 meters) in the long jump.  Williams came in 20th (8.01) in the 60 meters.  Vanessa Valdes (so. Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack) was 26th (2:36.14) in the 800 meters.  

Next week, Rowan travels to New York for the Amory Collegiate Invitational on Friday and Saturday, February 7 and 8.
