GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women's basketball team earned a 79-61 victory over The College of New Jersey in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) game on Wednesday night.
The Profs are 8-0 overall for the first time since the 2003-04 campaign and they have a 5-0 conference record. The Lions have a 3-5 record and they are 1-4 in the NJAC. Guard

Summer Crilley (fr. Galloway, NJ/Holy Spirit) registered 12 points apiece. Crilley corralled seven rebounds and Schullstrom had six. Center
Kate Matthews (jr. Clark, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson) produced 11 points and six boards. Forward
Melissa Lake (fr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) recorded nine points and four rebounds while guard
Jade Bonder (sr. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) contributed with seven points and six assists.
Forward Christina Merlin (jr. North Brunswick, NJ/Bishop Ahr) paced TCNJ with a game-high 16 points. Guard Angelica Esposito (jr. Lincroft, NJ/St. John Vianney) followed with 13 points. Guard Charlotte Schum (fr. East Hanover, NJ/Morris Catholic) chipped in with eight points and guard Kylie O'Donnell (sr. Magnolia, NJ/Sterling) collected seven rebounds.
The score was tied at five with 17:00 on the first half clock. The Lions had an 8-3 run in 4:09 to lead by five (13-8). Merlin had four points while Schum and Lynch each made a basket. A layup by Lynch put TCNJ in front, 17-14 (11:42). Rowan followed with 11 straight points for a 25-17 advantage (7:19). Sanchez scored five points, Matthews had four and Bishop converted a layup. Lake drilled a triple (4:54) and the Profs had a 30-22 advantage. Goldbach's layup cut the deficit to four (30-26) with 2:28 to go. Sanchez had a layup and a foul shot to give Rowan its largest lead of the half (39-29) with 19 seconds on the board. Goldbach's layup (00:02) closed the period and the Profs were ahead, 39-31. Sanchez led all scorers with 12 points.
Rowan started the second stanza with a 15-6 run (54-37) in 7:42. Six different Profs tallied points in the surge. Lake sank a three-pointer (9:20) and Rowan had a 60-42 lead. Crilley made a three for a 71-53 advantage with 5:46 remaining. Guard
Aleyah Dupree (fr. Pennsauken, NJ/Pennsauken) had a jumper (00:58) and the Profs had their largest lead at 23 (79-56).
Rowan travels to Widener University on Saturday, December 13 for a 1 p.m. contest.
