Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women's soccer team defeated Kean University, 1-0 in the first round of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championship Tournament on Sunday afternoon.

Erika Suhl (sr. Brick, NJ/Brick Mem.) scored the winning goal at 63:38. She knocked in a pass from forward
Melissa Kelly (fr. Parsippany, NJ/DePaul Catholic). It was Suhl's 15th goal on the season.
The fourth seeded Profs (12-5-1) travel to the top seed Montclair State University (16-1-1) on Wednesday, November 5 for a 7 p.m. semifinal game. In the other first round contest, number three Richard Stockton College had a 3-1 win over the sixth seed Rutgers-Newark. In the semifinals, the second seed The College of New Jersey (14-2) hosts Stockton (14-7) on Wednesday at 4 p.m. Kean (10-6-2) was seeded fifth in the conference tournament.

Carleigh Trivino (so. Caldwell, NJ/Caldwell) recorded her seventh shutout. Cougar goalkeeper KC Nunez (jr. Fair Lawn, NJ/Immaculate Heart Academy) turned away 12 shots.
The two semifinal winners meet in the conference championship on Saturday, November 8 at the higher remaining seed. The NJAC champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.
