PRINCETON, NJ – The Rowan University women's indoor track team traveled to Princeton University on Saturday for the Tiger Open.

Samantha Stapleton (sr. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) won the 800 meters with a time of 2:26.79.  Tashay Wilson (jr. Hillside, NJ/Hillside) came in third (2:27.96) in the 800 meters and Claire Corbett (fr. Mount Holly, NJ/Rancocas Valley Reg.) was sixth (2:37.66).  Grace Kaler (sr. Parsippany, NJ/Parsippany Hills) was fourth (5:36.91) in the one mile run followed by Kathryn Juniewicz (fr. Galloway, NJ/Absegami), fifth (5:51.02). 

Jessica Carlson (sr. Manahawkin, NJ/Southern Reg.) had a fourth place in the triple jump with 35' 1" (10.69 meters).  Shailah Williams (so. Pemberton, NJ/Pemberton Twp.) took fifth (8.04) in the 60 meters and she was ninth (26.47) in the 200 meters.  Jessalynn Wright (so. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) had a fifth place (1:20.06) in the 500 meters.   

The 4x400 meter relay ran 4:06.07 with Jamie Thompson (sr. Monmouth Jct., NJ/South Brunswick), Williams, Wilson and Wright and they finished in sixth place.  Vanessa Valdes (so. Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack) took sixth (3:25.16) in the 1000 meters while Meghan Borz (sr. Buena, NJ/Buena Reg.) was sixth (10:55.40) in the 3000 meters.  Thompson finished ninth (9.46) in the 60 meter hurdles.

In the 60 meter hurdles, Carlson and Felicia Smith (fr. Neptune, NJ/Neptune) were 11th (9.64) and 12th (9.66) respectively.  Nicole Ras (fr. Middletown, NJ/Middletown N.) took 12th in the long jump with 16' 6.5" (5.04 meters).   

Next weekend, Rowan travels to East Stroudsburg University on Sunday, February 2 for the DeSchriver Invitational at 10 a.m.
