Box Score 2 GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women's volleyball team won two matches at a tri-match on Saturday. The Profs had 3-0 victories over Immaculata University and Washington College (MD). In the third match, Washington topped Immaculata, 3-0.
Rowan (5-3) defeated Immaculata with set scores of 25-13, 25-16 and 25-13. The Profs were led by outside hitter Danielle Havlicek (so. Midland Park, NJ/Midland Park) with 12 kills and a .458 hitting percentage. Middle hitter Morgan Mende (so. Glen Rock, NJ/Glen Rock) added seven kills, while outside hitter Kirstin Sciolaro (sr. Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley) had five. Setter Rebecca Dantonio (fr. Glen Mills, PA/Garnet Valley) produced 24 assists and seven digs. Defensive specialist Marissa Micciche (sr. Kinnelon, NJ/Kinnelon) chipped in with a match-high 14 digs and middle/outside hitter Elaina Hansen (sr. Monroe Twp., NJ/Monroe Twp.) had four service aces.
For Immaculata (2-6), outside hitter/right side Alanna Garvey (fr. St. James, NY/St. John the Baptist) tallied seven kills. Setter Brittany Thompson (jr. Aston, PA/Ridley) collected 11 assists, while defensive specialist Molly Truitt (fr. West Chester, PA/Bishop Shanahan) had nine digs.
Against Washington (6-3), Rowan won with set scores of 25-22, 25-21 and 25-15. Mende paced the Profs with 10 kills. Middle/outside hitter Dakota Oeskovic (sr. Pine Beach, NJ/Toms River S.) posted eight kills and outside hitter Erica O'Hagan (fr. Cedar Grove, NJ/Cedar Grove) had six. Dantonio totaled 24 assists and defensive specialist Casey Grasso (sr. Wilmington, NJ/Alexis I. duPont) added 21 digs.
For the Shorewomen, outside hitter Kristin Lee (so. Dayton, MD/River Hill) compiled eight kills and 10 digs. Right side Alexis Jordan (fr. Royal Palm Beach, FL/Seminole Ridge) registered six kills and eight digs. Setter Lauren White (sr. Huntingtown, MD/Huntingtown) accumulated 19 assists and seven digs. Defensive specialist Audrey Utchen (fr. San Ramon, CA/Monte Vista) talled 10 digs.
Rowan travels to Swarthmore College on Tuesday, September 17 for a 7 p.m. nonconference match.
