EWING, NJ – The Rowan University women’s track and field team competed at the Lions’ Invitational on Saturday, which was held at The College of New Jersey.
 
Shailah Williams (fr. Pemberton, NJ/Pemberton Twp.) won the 100 meters with a time of 12.34.  She also tied for sixth (5’ 1.25”, 1.56 meters) in the high jump.  Jessica Carlson (jr. Manahawkin, NJ/Southern Reg.) took fourth (15.23) in the 100 meter hurdles.  She was ninth in the 400 meter hurdles (1:07.26) and triple jump (36’, 10.97 meters).
 
Tashay Wilson (so. Hillside, NJ/Hillside) came in fourth (58.59) in the 400 meters and was 11th (26.34) in the 200 meters.  Joyce Perry (fr. Pittsgrove, NJ/A.P. Schalick) had a sixth place (15.58) in the 100 meter hurdles.  Shantel Beckford (so. Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway) took seventh (12.53) in the 100 meters.  Priscila Antuna (jr. Waretown, NJ/Southern Reg.) finished eighth (19:29.86) in the 5000 meters.  
 
In the high jump, Magan Kustera (jr. West Deptford, NJ/West Deptford) was 11th (5’ 1.25”, 1.56 meters) while Kelsey Lewis (fr. Belford, NJ/Middletown N.) and Sam Kamper (jr. Middletown, NJ/Middletown N.) tied for 12th (4’ 11.5”, 1.51 meters).  Kamper also tied for 16th  (15’ 9”, 4.80 meters) in the long jump. 
 
Jewel Brown (fr. Clayton, NJ/Clayton) came in fifth in the long jump (17’ 0.75”, 5.20 meters) and tied for fifth in the triple jump (36’ 9”, 11.20 meters).  She was also sixth (26.02) in the 200 meters and seventh (59.05) in the 400 meters.   Emily Spieker (sr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) took eighth in the hammer (140’ 3”, 42.76 meters) and discus (119’, 36.27 meters).  Francesca Contino (sr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) came in 17th (16.91) in the 100 meter hurdles and 18th (1:15.12) in the 400 meter hurdles.  Steph Greco (sr. Monmouth Jct., NJ/South Brunswick) finished 12th (120’ 10”, 36.82 meters) in the hammer, 19th in the shot put (32’ 5.75”, 9.90 meters) and 28th (89’, 27.12 meters) in the discus.
 
Rowan hosts the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday and Sunday, May 4 and 5.  The Saturday events start at noon and the meet begins at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
