COLLEGEVILLE, PA – The Rowan University women's indoor track team won the Bow-Tie Classic on Saturday. The Profs were first out of 20 schools with 123 points. The meet was held at Ursinus College.

Rowan took first place in the 4x800 meter relay with a time of 10:31.00. The relay included Larissa Pywowariw, Kathryn Juniewicz, Claire Corbett and Samantha Farina.

In the 4x400 meter relay, the Profs' A relay was the winner in 4:08.11 while the B relay came in third (4:19.03). The A relay consisted of Jamie Thompson, Tashay Wilson, Nia Lawrence and Melirah Searcy. Amanda Brown, Kelly Vogt, Lexxus Matos and Jessalynn Wright comprised the B relay.

Lawrence, Vogt, Nicole Ras and Amanda Brown teamed up for a second-place finish in the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 1:50.18.

Thompson was the winner in the 60 meter hurdles in 9.11. She also had a second place in the long jump with 17' 0.75" (5.20 meters). Wright ran 2:25.26 in the 800 meters and finished first.

Paige Brown was second in the 60 meter hurdles (9.28) and third in the triple jump (34' 8.5", 10.58 meters) and high jump (5' 3.75", 1.62 meters). Her high jump mark tied the school record. Searcy came in second (2:25.36) in the 800 meters. Shailah Williams took second (26.51) in the 200 meters (26.51) while Shantel Beckford was third (7.94) in the 60 meter dash.

Farina had a third place (5:35.69) in the one mile. In the 400 meters, Wilson finished fourth (1:01.54) followed by Amanda Brown, fifth (1:02.70). Ras took sixth in the long jump with 16' 0.5" (4.89 meters). Sam Kamper was seventh in the high jump with a height of 4' 9.75" (1.47 meters).
