Men's Swimming Wins 101-45 At Cabrini College

RADNOR, PA – The Rowan University men's swim team had a 101-45 win at Cabrini College on Thursday night.  The Profs have a 2-0 record. 

Rowan won all eight individual events and the two relays.  The 200 medley relay had a winning time of 1:41.94 with Pat Malone (sr. Sewell, NJ/Gloucester Catholic), Jon Parise (fr. Erial, NJ/Timber Creek Reg.), Steven Buzby (fr. Linwood, NJ/Mainland Reg.) and Jesse Novak (fr. Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan).  The 200 freestyle relay was first in 1:29.51.  Mike Demarest (sr. Galloway, NJ/Absegami), Nick Stranix (fr. Glassboro, NJ/Glassboro), Malone and Novak made up the free relay.

Buzby came in first in the 100 (50.09) and 200 (1:51.27) freestyles.  Mike Simunek (fr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) was the winner in the 200 individual medley (2:05.49) and the 100 breaststroke (1:01.90).  Tyler Coe (so. North Brunswick, NJ/North Brunswick Twp.) swam 22.33 in the 50 free for first place.

In the 100 butterfly, Malone finished first (51.90) followed by Novak, second (55.60) and Brad Updegraff (fr. Frederick MD/Walkersville), third (57.03).  Eric Emerson (fr. Sewell, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) took first in the 100 backstroke (56.24) and Connor Buck (so. Eastampton, NJ/Rancocas Valley Reg.) won the 500 freestyle (5:01.84). 

Rowan returns home for a meet against Misericordia University on Saturday, November at 2 p.m.
