Volleyball Ends Regular Season With 3-0 Victory over New Jersey City

Box Score JERSEY CITY, ­­­NJ – Rowan University defeated New Jersey City University, 3-0 on Tuesday night in the regular season finale for both teams. The Profs won by the set scores of 25-18, 25-16 and 25-13.
 
Rowan finishes the regular season on a nine match winning streak and has an overall mark of 22-8. They are 7-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC). New Jersey City has completed its season with a record of 6-26 and a conference mark of 1-7.
 
Setter Rebecca Dantonio (fr. Glen Mills, PA/Garnet Valley) recorded 36 assists and five digs. Middle hitter Morgan Mende (so. Glen Rock, NJ/Glen Rock) collected 11 kills, while outside hitter Danielle Havlicek (so. Midland Park, NJ/Midland Park) tallied 10 kills. Defensive specialist Lauren Ruffalo (sr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) finished with 10 digs and libero Casey Grasso (sr. Wilmington, DE/Alexis I. duPont) had eight digs.
 
The Profs will now move on to the NJAC Tournament as the second seed. They will host a semifinal match on Thursday, November 7. The opponent will be determined following first round matches on Tuesday, November 5.
